I took a dramatic fall and broke my wrist. My lesson in presence and patience. Neither one is my strong suit.
An artists nightmare.
So what's left? Left-handed paintings, of course.
I'm finding freedom in doing work that has no expectations on the outcome and surprisingly inspired.
I have so many thoughts on my collections for this year I can't wait to do some big pieces that incorporate pigments that I've made from nature. Something I learned how to do last year in the desert.
More on that to come.
As it turns out, I don't have a lot of control with the left. No surprise there but I do know how to mix color and design a composition, and I love to play with the water and the colors on the paper.
My good friend and a fellow artist told me
"You paint from the heart and not the hand ."
This little lefty collection is full of heart and hope.
Abstract landscapes, funky Valentines and cool, peaceful winter colors with hints of warmth.
This little lefty collection will grow while my little righty heals.
I'm claiming this season as my winter. Resting, recovering, dreaming and embracing the cozy.
Oh and lots of pt.
Spring will be here soon and I'll be ready for it.
Thankful for each, and everyone of you that has ever supported me in my artwork. Thanks to a sold out collection right before my fall. I've been able to pay my bills for the past month and a half. Thank you so very much.❤️
